Day 1
After a 1.30pm departure and a humble 158km we have reached our first stop, a free camp at Benarkin, 4 km east of Blackbutt. Weather overcast but great for travelling. Late departure due to the time it took to install the "Rock Tamers" (big mud flaps). The road up the Blackbutt Range has been upgraded and the Sahara took it with ease.
