Day 8 Lake Maraboon to Emerald

The weather Gods are smiling on us again.  The day dawned sunny and warm. A leisurely 28km drive had us in Emerald, on the Nogoa river.  We passed some sizeable citrus orchards on the way.  You can't see them well, as the she-oak windbreaks surrounding them are all but visually impenetrable.  We have stopped at Emerald because it is a lovely town, we had to do some shopping and we finally located an antenna technician to help us with some problems we have been having with our satellite antenna.  Wouldn't you know it, when we set up the system on arrival, the d...... thing worked.  As we keep saying, "We are not in charge".  Anyway we can watch the footy tonight. The technicians were not surprised and had a chuckle to themselves .  Not many photo opportunities today so we took a few of Lake  Maraboon - in sunlight.  The water is always milky, they claim because of red claw activity.
