Our first stop today was The HIstoric Village at Herberton, 18km from Atherton. This is a mind-blowing collection of things historic. Its setting is on the banks of the Wild River and in all, there are 62 displays. The number of articles on display in mind numbing. It was a pleasure walking between the beautifully presented displays. To do the site justice would require much more than the one and a half hours we gave it this morning. We hope the few pictures we have taken will give an indication of the magnitude of the endeavour and of the quality of the displays.

After leaving Lake Tinaroo we headed off to Yungaburra. It is a well presented town but the highlight was the hanging baskets along all the footpaths.
Lake Eacham and Lake Barrine were next on our list. These are the two volcanic crater lakes on the Tableland. They are difficult to photograph due to their size so a couple of videos will have to suffice - apart from a shot of people (divers) in Eacham.
