2 June 2017 - Gregory to Normanton

Another fine day today greeted us as we headed southeast from Gregory to Burke and Wills Roadhouse and then, 198km northeast to Normanton, along the Savannah Way.  In all we did 350km today.

Yesterday we were bombarded with some rocks from a passing road train, which resulted in a crack in the windscreen. Today we watched the crack grow and we wonder where it will end.  We lost our Anderson plug today, so all in all we have had a couple of not so good travelling days.

We crossed the Flinders River along the Savannah Way.  We were most impressed with the number of termite mounds too.

Today was a travelling day and we have to admit there was not much to see or photograph. It was Savannah grasslands all the way, beautiful in their immensity and gorgeous in their golden colour. No green though at this time of the year.  There was plenty of caravan activity on the way, so we were delighted to find a place for our mobile home when we arrived in Normanton.

Tomorrow is to be both an "administrative" and a "recovery" day.  So far we have been on the road for 12 days and travelled 3112km.
