Next we went further west to Mandalay Beach, the site of the "Mandalay" shipwreck which occurred in 1911. It is a beautiful beach with a large rock formation called Marchant Island, offshore, with waves breaking along its shore.

We took in Coalmine Beach, a beach which is on the northwestern shore of Nornalup Inlet, a quiet and unassuming little place.

We have had a delightful time in Walpole. It was an excellent base from which to see most of the south coast attractions.
Love these trees!
