Day 53 - Around Bridport

Well, as expected, it was cold this morning, guess about three degrees, but the sun was out and it made for an awesome, cloudless sunrise over the bay.  The eastern sky from last night's sunset was good too.

Today was spent waiting for a plumber to contact us regarding the repair of a small leak in the van's hot water system.  We waited by the van most of the day but he never came and never returned our calls.  He is the only plumber in Bridport so our choices to go elsewhere are limited.  Because of this, we have few photographs to offer tonight.  We did look at some spots along the foreshore from the caravan park.

Perhaps some information on Bridport might be helpful.  Bridport is a popular beachside holiday destination on Anderson Bay.  It is famous for its white sandy beaches, coastal parks, bushland reserves, and Barnbougle Dunes and Barnbougle Lost Farm Golf Courses. These courses are built on sand dunes and mirror the classic wild courses of Scotland, including St Andrews. Apparently Barnbougle Dunes is rated 32 in the world's top links courses.  Golfers come from all over the world to play at both these courses.  We have some third party shots to give and idea of what the courses are like.
