Day 75 - more around Kununurra

Today dawned sunny and very warm - topping out at 33 degrees.  We took a cruise on the Bar-b-que Boat on Lake Kununurra, the lake created by the diversion dam.  The pace was relaxed and we saw "freshies", fish, rocks and plenty of water.  The highlight was a fine bar-b-que lunch, cooked on board.  We left the boat at a factory which sculpts and polishes "zebra rock", which is a banded siltstone. It is mined locally.  A bus returned us to our park.

In the afternoon we drove up to Kelly's Knoll, which is a hill behind Kununurra.  The rock there could be described as a mini Bungle Bungle.  The view was excellent and the agricultural developments and the diversion channels were evident.

We have enjoyed our stay at Kununurra and the weather continues to be very kind to us. The downside is that the unforgiving heat is quite tiring.

We are off to the Bungle Bungles tomorrow.
