Day 99 - Tom Price to Port Headland

We left delightful Tom Price this morning and retraced our path back to Port Hedland 472km away.  The day started out very cool and ended a balmy 21 degrees.  The trip was uneventful except for two things.

Firstly we stopped for a cuppa at a parking bay and found nine different wildflowers within a radius of 10 metres from the car.  Could not resist a picture although it was sad picking them just for a photograph.  There were others there too but the flowers were very small.   You would miss these if you were simply driving by at 100kmph.

Made for an enjoyable cuppa stop

Secondly, we could not resist a picture or two of the Auski Roadhouse where we stayed a few nights ago, the one we were lauding praises for its dust. There were trucks moving in and out of the roadhouse as we approached and the dust is obvious in the pictures. The accumulated dust on the trees make this a veritable non-oasis and this too is obvious in the pictures.
