Day 101 - Around Point Samson

Today dawned sunny and windy, very windy.  The whitecaps on the sea were many and large.  The wind lasted until about 2pm WA time and then died.  We think it is preparing itself for some "off" weather tomorrow.  Rain is forecast for the Pilbara tomorrow. If it does rain, it will be the first time we will have experienced rain since Normanton, in Queensland.

We did a small trip around Point Samson, followed by a not so large drive down to the town of Wickham.  We drove up Tank Hill for a look at the view, which overlooked Wickham and in the distance, Point Samson and the ore ships waiting to enter port at Cape Lambert.  We think Wickham is a town built for the construction and now operation of Rio Tinto's Cape Lambert operations.  In all we drove 33.4km so did not venture far from the park.
