Day 25 - Tennant Creek to Ti Tree Roadhouse

337km today from Tennant Creek to the Ti Tree Roadhouse along the Stuart Highway, via Wauchope, Wycliffe Well and Barrow Creek.  The Stuart Highway is a great road to drive - cruise control all the way.  Temperature cooler today at around 28 deg C.  Countryside is mostly tree filled plains and there is an element of boredom associated with the sameness.  However there was some relief in the form of three ranges (Crawford, Davenport and one other whose name we can't remember) striking east to west (or maybe west to east) which crossed our path during the day.  These provided us with a number of "ooh--ahh" experiences, capped off by a stop at the Devil's Marbles, a few kilometres north of Wauchope.  The "marbles" are part of a mountain range which has weathered differentially. The outcrops went for several kilometres.  We dropped by the historic telegraph station at Barrow Creek.

Trivia for today:
  • we were overtaken today by three utilities and a Greyhound Bus
  • no native animals road kill today only several bullocks
  • only one house sighted in the 337 km run
  • the nice thing about egotists is that they don't talk about other people
