Day 34 and a quarter - Sunset at Uluru

At 5.45pm today we settled ourselves at a site near Uluru to watch the sun set on the rock, along with about 200 other people.  The following photographs were taken progressively over a period of about thirty minutes.  It was bright sun light at the outset and at about 6.10pm the sun's direct impact ended and the rock's colour changed dramatically, as in the third photograph. Thereafter the twilight pink and blue colours on the horizon became evident.   Finally we saw Uluru clothed in her evening dress.  All in all a wonderful sight.
